Old-fashioned and a little pretentious, he delights in long-gone technologies like film cameras and typewriters, having avoided having any personal social media presence until he adopted a hedgehog he has lovingly named Livy, naming him after the Roman historian. Livy instagram account (@ livygram) boasts an impressive 36K follower count and refers to Luka only as "Appa."
He is a daydreamer and sometimes wishes the world were a little more whimsical like a charming French film... though he finds it difficult to be that playful and impulsive himself. Often oblivious and living in his head, Luka is often found with his nose in a book and is prone to taking control of any conversation and sending it shuttling down a dozen different, confusing paths.
Raised by his grandmother and aunt near the Koreatown neighborhood of New York City, he didn't have a relationship with his parents whose romance was brief and seemingly imploded in on itself early on. He grew up questioning what it meant to be Asian-American, finding it difficult to find a place for himself, and is studying history in college, focusing on the evolution of Orientalism, from the opium dens to the weebs of today.
He isn't the most affectionate, showing he cares mostly through mostly unseen acts of service. While his head is filled with romantic visions, he has yet to be in a longterm relationship since he isn't quite brave enough to take the leap.
